Primary Responsibilities:Supports Optum Mountain West Infection prevention, employee health programs
Coordinates adherence to Optum, Optum Mountain West, state and federal requirements and standards
Completes Optum Mtn West documentation requirements
Supports compliance assessments and audits; develops corrective action plans and follows-up to achieve and maintain compliance
Conducts project meetings and takes responsibility for project tracking and analysis; manages projects through the project life cycle (PLC)
Supports clinical compliance and quality programs
Supports operations to ensure compliance with Optum Practice Health and Safety programs, company’s policies and programs and local, state and federal regulations, requirements and standards
Collaborates with practice operations to implement and maintain Optum Mountain West standard work and clinical compliance programs
Conducts project meetings and takes responsibility for project tracking and analysis; manages projects through the project life cycle (PLC)
Staff education and competency validation
Provides/coordinates staff education and competency validation
Patient Experience/UHG Culture
Adheres to UHG/Optum Mountain West standards for excellent customer service and patient care
Supports/leads staff in meeting these standards
Performance Improvement
Supports/leads LEAN initiatives

High School diploma and/or equivalent required
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Minimum three years clinical experience as a Medical Assistant in ambulatory care setting
BLS required
Valid Arizona, auto insurance and reliable transportation required
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
National Medical assistant certification preferred
