Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo’s more than 70 million global customers.

The APCoE is accountable for governance and operations of the lifecycle management of the majority of third party software products installed on Wells Fargo assets (servers, desktops, mainframe, network etc.). The work that we do is critical to the success of our Enterprise and our customers as our efforts are aimed at keeping our data and technology systems safe from cyber security threats. This position will report to the manager of the Operational Health Team and be responsible for managing first line of defense compliance and governance management for software configuration management activities.

The Role

This area requires technical knowledge in application development practices, IT standards and protocols, configuration management practices as well as an understanding of the lifecycle of cyberspace threats, attack vectors, and methods of exploitation.

This role will support the governance practice of software product vulnerability, patch, lifecycle and configuration management processes and controls.

This role will have experience across best in class governance programs and evidence management of governance activities for internal audits.

This role will perform oversight of the following activities for software products aligned to the Application Products Center of Excellence (APCoE).This encompasses over 90% of software products in use at WF, spanning all types of assets:

Responsible for leadership of cross functional/virtual teams to strategize, plan, and execute across a variety of programs.

Definition and maintenance of effective processes and controls for product management.

Compliance of maintenance and remediation activities to keep products current within established policies and time lines.

Effective and accurate metrics reporting for the product portfolio.

Monitoring compliance to exceptions policies and time lines.

Quality review of processes and controls on a regularly established cadence.

Partner closely with our Internal Audit, Risk, SACM, Business, and Service Partners to ensure that all operational processes and controls result in an effectively managed product portfolio.

Required Qualifications:

6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working with internal and external auditors and examiners

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology governance risk and compliance processes such as; policies, control standards, risk management concepts, or information security

Experience developing improvement processes and implementation strategies

Ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity

Ability to identify root-cause issues/improvement opportunities, and design approaches/programs/products to improve overall quality assurance

Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals

Ability to identify and manage complex issues and negotiate solutions within a geographically dispersed organization

Strong analytical skills with ability to turn findings into executable plans to meet business objectives

Strong conflict resolution skills

Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change

Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills

Strong relationship management skills

Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
