DescriptionAccountemps is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. The accounting team is growing quickly and is looking for someone interested in great career growth potential and a great benefits package. Candidates who are able to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L will be most fit for this position. If you are a self-starter with high attention to detail, you will be a good fit for this Accounts Receivable Clerk position, which handles 200+ invoices a week. This is a long-term temporary-to-full-time Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Tempe, AZ area.How you will make an impactReconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in different ledgersCompile segments of monthly closings and annual reports and take care of payments in compliance with GAAPReview status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customersPerform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasksPromote, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organizationOffer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholdersContact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plansVerify documents and codesRequirementsAA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related fieldDemonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policyAttention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement3+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivableKnowledgeable of ERP systemsCommercial collections experience preferredStrong familiarity with OracleExpertise in Microsoft ExcelSolid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)Customer service experience highly desiredProven knowledge of account reconciliationAccountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches highly skilled professionals with accounting finance jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
