It all begins with you.The Enterprise Complaints Management Office (ECMO) plays an integral role in having an enterprise view of our customer concerns, identifying risks in a timely manner, providing enhanced reporting capabilities at the line of business and Enterprise levels, and delivering a variety of benefits to our business. This Office includes four main functions: Executive Complaint Operations, Data Analytics and Reporting, Quality Assurance, and Complaints Shared Services. Together these teams focus on capturing, researching, and resolving customer dissatisfaction; executing deep root cause analysis; and proactively identifying continuous opportunities that are engineered to improve our customers’ experience and drive out dissatisfaction.The Wells Fargo Home Lending (WFHL) Customer Remediation Data & Analytics team is part of the Enterprise Complaints Data Analytics & Reporting organization. Our team works closely with the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence organization to develop and implement consistent enterprise standards for re-mediating customer issues across the Wells Fargo enterprise. We also work closely with business partners and other teams across Home Lending that support the customer remediation efforts.We currently have a need for a highly skilled Analytic Consultant who will play a critical role in working with the different operational areas within Home Lending and our operational risk partners to understand the issues impacting customers, and perform data pulls across multiple data sources to identify impacted customers based on business rules. In addition, the Analytic Consultant will compile all required documentation for population identification, to include data testing and validation, and work closely with business partners, quality review teams, independent quality review, and downstream teams to ensure all required data needs are provided and to ensure we can properly remediate impacted customers.Specifically this individual will have responsibility to:

Focus on executing Wells Fargo Home Lending’s Commitment to Customer Remediation, performing analysis to identify customers who have been negatively impacted (financially or otherwise) due to gaps or breakdowns in WFHL operational processes

Work with business partners to gain an understanding of how Wells Fargo systems interact with complex customer life events and situations

Provide thought leadership and statistical/mathematical expertise in assessing the potentially complex financial and other impacts of harm to our customers

Create analytical documentation that is both easy to follow and meets compliance requirements

Quickly learn about new areas of the business in order to provide accurate, timely, and complete information

Facilitate discussions between business partners to understand drivers and impacts to trends and data

Compile/mine data from multiple sources to solve complex operational and/or strategic business problems as they arise, making the appropriate recommendations to maximize decision quality and compliance

Query databases via SAS or SQL to identify populations of harmed customer for auto loans

Utilize home lending loans business systems to research transactions on loan accounts

Deliver data populations and required documentation to remediation leads

Work with data validation teams to ensure accuracy of data populations

Create business language illustrations of loans in scope for each remediation

Profile data to identify outliers, quality issues, and inaccurate data

Ensure adherence to data management regulations and policies

Required Qualifications:

6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

Desired Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Operations experience, including research and remediation, loan administration, or collections experience, via direct experience, or through support of an operation (loan administration, quality assurance, compliance, operational risk, project management, social media analysis, etc.)

Ability to translate complex technical needs into straightforward requests for information and collaboration, working with a wide range of people

5+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools

Ability to work independently

Ability to quickly learn business operations and processes

Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

Good project management skills

Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs

Ability to form a story through data analysis

Experience creating, reviewing and facilitating feedback on project documentation

Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
