In this role, you will use your experience in software and consumer electronics to drive channel awareness, secure premium in-store merchandising space and architect compelling promotional opportunities to grow share in an exciting, growing category of connected products. Your devotion to meeting customer needs drives what you do. Your natural inclination causes you to act with a sense of purpose and urgency.You will work closely with field marketing managers to implement your ideas around the most effective, efficient ways to generate awareness and gain share through our office retailers. Your mission is to use your knowledge of software, consumer electronics and office superstore retailers to leverage every advantage these key accounts can offer to Symantec. Whether it be merchandising improvement, software integration strategies, category development, point-of-purchase signage, customer outreach, promotional events or a combination of several, you’ll find every available way to drive growth through our office retail partners.This is a cross-functional role where a deep collaboration between the product, field marketing, and operational teams will find solutions to grow market share. You will work alongside these teams to implement and execute measurable growth strategies that result in making our products the choice of retail customersResponsibilities :

Lead, coach, and influence indirect teams to perform and achieve results in line with department strategy and goals.

Create and develop relationships with key decision makers at our partners; establish and maintain high-level, executive contact with accounts, focusing on the establishment and maintenance of strategic relationships

Primary point of contact for the direction and management of our office retails channel accounts with focus on driving sales performance through those partners key initiatives.

Develop a consultative sales relationship with retail partners. Provide thought leadership in selling and growing security and digital safety.

Drive line review, joint business planning, quarterly business reviews and supply chain processes.

Create and execute channel goals, strategy, tactics, and annual sales plan leveraging internal resources to maximize sales growth

Develop Key Performance Indicators for success in our retail channel, track them regularly and communicate them to key stakeholders often. Know what success looks like and measure progress frequently

Bring customer insights and relevant market intelligence back to internal product and development team. Stay informed of competitive activity in the retail space and know how your products are performing in all your accounts

Work with the field marketing and pricing teams to design promotional plan around key selling events with retail customers to drive additional volume during peak category selling periods

Provide accurate and timely forecasting inputs to the operational and finance team to meet customer demands. Respond to internal requests for customer performance and sales progress quickly and accurately

Build robust internal presentations to communicate strategies and customer considerations to key stakeholders including financial analysis, customer insights and POV and crafting a narrative that concisely and compellingly explains key messages

Attend trade shows, customer training events, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

Excellent Leadership and the ability to influence across a matrixed organization and with a complex retail customer.

Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision-making and quantitative analysis skills to provide insights into performance and efficiency opportunities.

Strong planning and organizational skills to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills to build relationship and collaboration across different departments, sometimes virtually. Previous experience with presenting presentations to groups, senior management, etc is required

Self-starter and driven personality to be able to achieve corporate account objectives. Understand account level P&L's and ROI

Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Marketing, Business or related field is required

Minimum 5-7 years professional selling experience in the software and/or consumer electronics retail space

Sales and relationship building experience with a mix of account management and new business development skills, especially with new products.

Capability to communicate to all levels of the organization, internally and in customer organizations. Strong presentation building and delivery skills using programs like MS PowerPoint, Keynote or other widely used presentation tools

Strong analytical skills to determine customer account profitability and propose activities that balance strong growth with improving profitability.

Demonstrated time management skills as it relates to account management and internal collaboration

Expertise in budgeting and forecasting

Ability to travel up to 40% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

Experience selling security and identity theft protection products to retail accounts

Strong understanding and ability to teach and utilize computer apps, smart phones, tablet computers, either in an iOS, Android, or PC platform

Proficient Salesforce.com

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
