We are a fast paced 5 Doctor emergency & full service hospital and our technicians and assistants need to be able to adapt quickly and efficiently to challenges as they present themselves. We are looking for individuals with strong technical skills, excellent client service and communication skills, and the ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Applicants should be friendly, outgoing, reliable, & competent person who can multi-task, take initiative/self-motivated, communicate effectively, use common sense, are a problem solver, a team player, & have great attention to detail. Must be able to work three 12 hour shifts including Saturdays. On-call availability for emergency/after-hour procedures is also required. Required: 1 year Minimum Veterinary Assistant/Technician Experience
Job duties include, but are not limited to: triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of enteral and parenteral medications, effective and professional communication of treatment plans with clients via phone and text, surgical preparation and assistance, dental procedures, anesthetic management, & provide exceptional customer service.
