Medical Office Administrative Assistant / Credentialing Specialist required for multi-specialty / primary care business office located in Prescott, Arizona.

Summary:

Responsibilities include: (1) Ordering supplies for multiple offices at the direction of the office managers. (2) Organizing, researching, and processing invoices and credit card receipts for payment approval and forwarding same to business office for payment. (3) Leading, coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining the credentialing and re-credentialing process. Facilitates all aspects of credentialing, including initial appointment, reappointment, as well as clinical privileging for Medical Staff, Health Professionals, and all other providers outlined in the company's Bylaws, policies, or related contracts. Ensures interpretation and compliance with the appropriate accrediting and regulatory agencies, while developing and maintaining a working knowledge of the statues and laws relating to credentialing. Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the credentialing database system and related applications. (4) Provides administrative support to the Accounting and HR departments. Works under the supervision of the Accounts Manager / Human Resources.

Minimum Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to hospital medical staff or managed care credentialing, with a minimum 2 years administrative assistant experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Program planning and implementation skills.

Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.

Knowledge of medical credentialing and privileging procedures and standards (a plus)

Ability to analyze, interpret and draw inferences from research findings, and prepare reports.

Working knowledge of clinical and/or hospital operations and procedures.

Informational research skills.

Ability to use independent judgment to manage and impart confidential information.

Database management skills including querying, reporting, and document generation.

Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.

May involve lifting up to 50 lbs.

This is a Part-Time Position, 24-hours per week, with Full Time advancement possible. Compensation is based on experience.
