This person is responsible in working in the field of behavioral health to assist in the identification, planning, implementation and monitoring of consumer-run programs and supportive housing for persons living with mental illness.

Success in the role is measured on:

The Marketing of housing programs and assuring center and housing programs remain viable by coordinating with the mental and behavioral health community, Supportive and Housing Collaborations.

The development and implementation of recovery activities in the recovery center, in supportive housing and in the community to include members and tenants in activities, events and community integration and provide support and educational materials for members

Maintaining a safe, orderly and peaceful environment of the Transitional House and support in coordination with Housing Team and wellness center.

Be part of a Dynamic team and provide recovery support services in various settings to peers through our housing program within the community to educate and provide services to advance their recovery and wellness.

The Peer Support Specialist is a role model to peers; exhibiting competency in personal recovery and use of coping skills; serve as a peer advocate, supporter, providing peers information and peer support for people in outpatient and inpatient settings.
