JOB TITLE: Physical Therapist Technician (Approximately 27 hours per week. We are open Monday - Saturday). This position will be Monday 7a-6p, Tuesday 9a-6p, Wednesday 8a-11:50a, & Thursday 9a-12:50p. There will be some availability to cover sick calls and vacations for additional hours.

PART TIME SALARY RANGE: $12.00 to $14.00 per hour Depending on Experience.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Physical Therapist Technician must be a courteous, multitasking, professional, team orientated person who will assist physical therapist to carry out effective treatment plan under direct supervision. This person may be working with children, adolescents, adults and senior patients. This person will have the knowledge and skills to care for the physical and developmental needs of this population. This person will also be responsible for maintaining an inventory that allows the clinic to run smoothly. This job description describes the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job title. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties required of personnel with this job title. Each team member is expected to contribute at a level to ensure the success of the clinic.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or sufficient education / experience-related.

Experience: Preferably will have experience working with people of different ages, capabilities. Advanced training or education in topics of anatomy, physiology or health is preferred.

Certificate/License: Basic Life Support/CPR certification is required or obtained within a reasonable amount of time.

Skills: (Required)

Able to communicate clearly both written and verbal.

Maintains a high degree of organizational skills.

May be required to work various equipment within the department.

Able to relate to people who are ill or have varying disabilities. Able to relate to people of all ages, emotionally distressed patients and families and appropriate health care workers.

Able to read, write and speak English in an understandable manner.

Possesses visual and hearing acuity and/or the ability to observe, document and implement actions required to meet departmental and/or patient/family needs.

Able to deal with high stress and high demand work environment.

Able to cope with varying and unpredictable situations tactfully with staff, patients, family members, visitors and the general public.

Able to respond to emergency and crisis situations in a timely and professional manner.

Assists with front office tasks as needed.

Assists with clinic duties to include equipment and facility maintenance, cleaning and laundry.

Skills: (Preferred)

Basic Computer Knowledge.

Knowledge of medical terminology

Able to organize and maintain list of inventory

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Extensive standing / walking

Lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients

Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching

Participation in crisis or emergency situations

MACHINES, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

Therapeutic exercise and modality devices including but not limited to electronic equipment, exercise equipment, aquatic therapy equipment, ambulation devices, wheelchairs, medical monitoring devices, computer, telephone and other clinic equipment.

BENEFITS (Part Time - Less than 32 hrs per week):
