In search of a seasoned cloud security engineer specializing in providing security for cloud-based digital platforms and protecting an organization's data. Individual will be responsible for analyzing existing cloud structures and creating new and enhanced security methods. Will serve as part of a larger team dedicated to cloud-based management and security. Full time opportunity with some after hour coverage.
Job responsibilities include creating cloud-based programs, performing threat simulations to detect possible risks, and providing security recommendations on topics to include but not limited to microservice design or application development. Will be responsible for leading and instructing other teams on proper coding methods. Will be responsible for investigating, creating and recommending innovative technologies or other methods that will enhance the security of cloud-based environments.Required EducationProspective candidates in the field will need at least a bachelor's degree. A degree in computer science, programming, or information security is desirable.Required SkillsMust hold experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, scripting languages like Python, and cloud provider ecosystems such as Amazon AWS and Azure. Must possess excellent attention to detail, ability to monitor systems to ensure there are no external threats. Excellent oral and written communication skills will be essential. Must have initiative and serve as a project leader when needed.- 10 years of overall Industry experience with 5+ years total in security related environments.
- Proficiency in cloud providers such as Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- Responsible for developing and coordinating cloud architecture, and developing a cloud strategy and coordinating the adoption process.
- Versed in compliance, processes and procedures.
- 5 years of experience implementing and securing public, private and hybrid cloud technologies.
- Experience with security automation, scripting, deploying Infrastructure as code, GIT, and DevSecOps.
- Ability to act as a project manager driving initiatives, management and architecture.
- Excellent communication skills and interaction with customers, end clients and executive management.
