Small production machine shop looking for full-time operators.
Schedule:
Mon-Thurs 6 am - 4 pm. Friday overtime sometimes available.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Running production of existing product to meet quotas established by the machine shop manager.
- Precision inspection and quality verification of your work.
- Removal of excessive burrs prior to non-manual deburr methods.
- May be required to operate manual equipment such as Drill Press, Manual Mill, Band saw, Grinder, etc.
- Simple manual operations on Mills and Lathes, such as precision countersinking, 2nd op facing, grooving, etc.
Skill requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in Machine Shop environment.
- Must be able stand for long periods of time, and load/unload parts from the machine.
- Must be able to use inspection tools and gages, as instructed to verify your work.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Must be proficient with simple math.
- Detail oriented.
- Should understand CNC machining fundamentals.
- Should be self motivated, responsible, and accountable for your work.
- Must have reliable transportation to work.
Optional Skills:
- CNC Mill and/or Lathe programming or editing a plus.
- Extended knowledge of QA a plus.
- Extended knowledge of GD&T a plus.
- Knowledge of Setup and Fixturing a plus.
