Quick overview:

Barlow is looking for appliance installers (drivers and non-drivers).

Must be able to pass a background and drug test.

This is not an easy position. It is physically demanding and there will be long days.

Responsibilities will include delivery and installation of major household appliances.

The majority of our installs are:

Refrigerators

Washers and Dryers

Dishwashers

Ranges

Microwaves

Schedule: Potential for Monday - Saturday, 5:30am start time (no set end time)

Pay: Piecework (based on production) - average earnings $50,000 - 55,000 yearly

Driver-installers must have a clean MVR and be able to obtain a DOT medical certification.

Job Overview:

Barlow, a well-established, family owned and operated, GEA Contracted Appliance Delivery and Installation Company is currently hiring appliance Delivery/Installation Teams.

Our Teams take pride in providing the best experience possible; this includes demonstrating a high level of caution and care while in a customer's home when dealing with appliances. This will ensure a low rate of property and equipment damage. Our teams must also provide unparalleled customer service at all times, be high energy, professional and courteous at all times and be able to handle the physical demands of this position, including the uncrating of all appliances, carrying upstairs as necessary, and installing all delivered appliances, make tenant ready all installed appliances and cleaning up the site, including all trash, cardboard, paper, wood shavings, etc This is a very physically demanding position.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Moving and lifting major household appliances up and down stairs throughout shift.

· Reporting to work on time,

· Reporting to work in proper attire according to Company policies (company approved shirt, long pants in a dark color (no jeans) with a belt, steel toe shoes, no facial jewelry, tattoos covered)

· Recording serial numbers on the delivery paperwork

· Obtaining all necessary appliance installation parts from the parts cage,

· Loading all the appliances, installation tools, parts and appliance moving equipment on the truck each morning,

· Driving to customer homes/rentals/businesses/etc. to deliver and install kitchen and laundry room appliances, locally or out of town, as needed.

· Providing GREAT customer service and demonstrating respect to customers and team members at all times.

· Contacting customers 30 minutes prior to arrival, complete the IVR app on the cell phone, including taking pictures of the installations and the signed delivery paperwork.

· Preparing and installing major household appliances.

· Returning all haul-away materials including packaging materials and used appliances as directed

· Loading and unloading delivery trucks.

· Ensuring all paperwork is accurate

· Provide excellent customer service, reflected in Quality of Service scores, per company policy.

· Moving and lifting major household appliances up and down stairs throughout shift.

· Completing daily vehicle inspection (DVIR) reports.

· Training and mentoring new employees when appropriate

· Completing other tasks as assigned by dispatch or management.

Qualifications:

· MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A FEDERAL BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG SCREEN

· Must be able to understand and utilize the IVR application on the cell phone.

· No felonies.

· This is a Safety-sensitive position. There is zero tolerance for drug use.

· No criminal charges, ever, involving violence, theft or sex.

· 1+ year in appliance installation is preferred.

DRIVERS:

· Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Certification as part of the hiring process

· Must be able to pass a pre-employment DOT regulated drug test.

· No major moving violations

· No DUIs in the last 10 years

· No at fault accidents in the last 3 years

We are willing to train the right, motivated candidate.

Tool-kits MAY be available for purchase (depending on inventory) however your own tools are preferred. Channel-lock pliers, a box cutter, a level, a cordless drill, a drill-bit set and a set of screwdriver bits is enough to get you started.
