Serves as a point of escalation and education for Application Security Engineer I and II.
Serves as primary member of the Technology Information Security Team for the purpose of reviewing the secure development of software and to monitor the security of all cloud environments and applications.
Using standard enterprise tools, discovers security vulnerabilities on in-house applications and provides recommended remediation steps to developers and/or infrastructure solution architects.
Documents findings for management and technical staff and recommends mitigating actions.
Assists the development team in implementing secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices with a Agile, CI/CD, and DevSecOps mindset & culture. Work closely with SW development architects & engineers during the design phase of projects.
Provides security and compliance requirements for software development & cloud projects.
Advises on security related issues and raises new security concerns that are not already addressed. Keeps current on the latest cloud and SW development technologies, methodologies and processes.
Tracks and analyzes alerts and statuses using tools monitoring application development and cloud solutions and environments.
Uses technical tools and devices to engineer solutions that detect threats to protect Cable One information.
Documents processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps related to the secure development and operation of software and cloud-based solutions.
Performs training for troubleshooting support and procedures.
Takes on other duties needed to help drive our Purpose, fulfill our Brand Principles, and abide by our Organization’s Values.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related curriculum required.
4 years or more Application Security Architect and/or experience in software development and Secure Cloud implementations required.
An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
CSSLP or CISSP preferred.
CCSK and Azure or AWS certification preferred.
