Equipment Rental Company is seeking for an Accounting Assistant with a great attitude and willing to perform a wide range of administrative and accounting support activities to facilitate the efficient operation of the accounting department.
Hours: 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday
Health, dental and life insurance benefits are offered after 60 days of employment
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence
- Prepare outgoing mail, research, and follow-up on returned correspondence
- File Management (set-up, maintain and facilitate customer & vendor records)
- Request, review and track contracts and information using database applications and spreadsheets
- Track Certificates of Insurance using database applications
- Assist with Accounts Payable functions (matching, coding, data entry)
- Assist with answering phones
- Keep office and filing room neat and tidy
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Have exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Detail-oriented
Problem-solving skills
Able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
Must be a self-starter
Have the discipline to work in an unsupervised environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
Accounting background and or knowledge
Experience with construction liens is a plus
