Equipment Rental Company is seeking for an Accounting Assistant with a great attitude and willing to perform a wide range of administrative and accounting support activities to facilitate the efficient operation of the accounting department.

Hours: 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday

Health, dental and life insurance benefits are offered after 60 days of employment

Duties include, but are not limited to:

 - Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence

 - Prepare outgoing mail, research, and follow-up on returned correspondence

 - File Management (set-up, maintain and facilitate customer & vendor records)

 - Request, review and track contracts and information using database applications and spreadsheets

 - Track Certificates of Insurance using database applications

 - Assist with Accounts Payable functions (matching, coding, data entry)

 - Assist with answering phones

 - Keep office and filing room neat and tidy

Required Skills and Qualifications:

 Have exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

 Detail-oriented

 Problem-solving skills

 Able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines

 Must be a self-starter

 Have the discipline to work in an unsupervised environment

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs

 Accounting background and or knowledge

 Experience with construction liens is a plus
