Lead Maintenance Technician - Glendale, AZWe are looking for a strong leader with a "can-do" positive mental attitude to work alongside and lead a team of maintenance technicians to safely and efficiently complete various maintenance tasks.Qualified applicants will need reliable transportation, be able to pass a background check and pass a drug test as a contingency of employment. The Lead Maintenance Technician will report to the General Manager.Duties
Supervise Maintenance Technicians
Perform minor property maintenance and repairs including, but not limited to plastering, painting, carpentry, plumbing (unclogging drains and toilets), basic electrical and mechanical tasks
Schedule and complete work orders and requests for repairs and maintenance on-time and within budget
Prepare purchase orders for assigned projects as needed
Prepare properties for inspection by relevant stakeholders and agencies
Coordinate and monitor progress of vendors or outside contractors as needed
Inspect property daily and report any needed repairs to Asset Manager and General Manager
Inspect building and equipment and provide preventative maintenance services as required
Maintain the maintenance and equipment supplies inventory order as needed
Complete all paperwork on a daily basis or as requested by direct supervisors or Asset Manager
Respond to after-hours and weekend maintenance emergencies as required
The Ideal Candidate will possess the following:
Minimum of one year experience managing maintenance technicians
Minimum of four years of general maintenance experience
Must have own basic standard set of tools and equipment needed to perform basic maintenance tasks, some equipment will be provided
Basic computer skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally internally within the organization and externally with tenants, vendors, and all other outside parties in a polite and courteous manner
Must possess a strong work ethic and "can-do" positive attitude
Must pay attention to detail
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test as a contingency of employment
