Transit Operators are the company's ambassadors reflecting our values and guiding principles,
transporting customers in a safe, timely manner to their destination within the City of Flagstaff.
Operator staff have a profound understanding of our transportation equipment, safety checks, and DOT
requirements as a function of operating on city streets. Staff is charged with safe vehicle operations
and interacting with customers in an often fast paced environment. Staff will utilize excellent
communication skills, both written and oral, customer service, and decision-making skills to operate
efficiently and adhere to a strict routing timetable.

Wage: $16.42 per hour
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is mechanically sound and completes all documentation as required
Maintains knowledge of and adherence with all Mountain Line policies, procedures and safety requirements
Provides safe, timely and courteous service to all Mountain Line passengers particularly those with mobility challenges
Responsible for safe operation of transit vehicles, adherence to traffic regulations, Mountain Line policies and procedures
Prepares accurate and legible accident and incident reports when needed
Maintains a professional company image, emphasizing positive customer relations
Understanding of current passes and fares, assist customers with paper fare solution
May perform on the job training for new operators
Attendance
Attendance should be regular and predictable. General employment policies with regard to vacation, sick, and unpaid leave apply. Occasional need to report to work on day off and work overtime.
