Lowell Observatory is currently seeking applications for the Anderson Mesa Site Steward position.
The Anderson Mesa Site Steward (Steward) primarily supports the operation of the remote Anderson Mesa site, including Lowell Observatory's optical telescope and Navy Precision Optical Interferometer (NPOI) facilities, with occasional work in support of the Lowell Discovery Telescope (LDT) Facility and Giovale-Millis Lodge in Happy Jack. The position focuses on the maintenance and upkeep of facilities and grounds, facilitating communications, and assisting the site engineers and technicians in their efforts to maintain Lowell-owned and government- or partner-owned systems at these sites. The Steward's primary work location is at the Anderson Mesa site, but they may be called upon to work at other Lowell locations when required.
