Seeking Operations Manager for young and growing Moving Company (Sedona)

This business started in late 2017 and legitimized in January of 2018.

That first year we did about $8000 in business (profit).

Last year we tripled that, and continue to see exponential growth.

However, the owner can't handle it all himself, needs to free up time, and be able to delegate operational tasks to the proper qualified person. We have not had luck trying to hire for this position from within, so we are seeking someone who is seeking this type of position.

This is your chance to be part of a growing business, and your opinion will be valued. There will be room for advancement and pay increase. This will not be a full-time job in the beginning, but could become so. You can also work moving jobs if you like, and will be encouraged to in order to understand all aspects of the business.

Tasks you would be handling:

-Fielding phone calls and initial inquiries, booking jobs.

-Filling out customer agreements once jobs locked in.

-Arranging/managing labor (filling positions for jobs through our roster of contractors)

-Preparing supplies and equipment when necessary, or delegating task to contractor

-Receiving completed customer agreements and payments and following jobs.

-Filing completed jobs

-Paying contractors (from cash-on-hand)

-Managing cash-on-hand and checks (making deposits, going over finances and operations with owner regularly)

-Assisting with logistic/planning for long-distance and quoted moves (doing consultations with customers when requested)

-Offer suggestions on procedures where you see fit.

We will ease you into each of the various tasks. There will a training period where the owner will still be very much involved, but working hand-in-hand with you, to 'show you the ropes' so to speak. Eventually you will gain more and more responsibility as you become comfortable and familiar with the business, the contractors movers we hire, and our procedures. Pay will increase as responsibilities do. There is also possibilities for equity compensation down the road if you become a clear long-term fit.

If we both agree to move forward to meeting in person, we will set up a 1-3 hours period of time for you to come to our home office and get an initial introduction to the owner and the home base for business operations. We will discuss ways in which we could see things working under your operational management (for instance, having you take files and forms into your possession, being given access to email accounts, having the business phone line forward to your cell). We will also discuss pay on that first meeting, and set up a plan of action. Once we decide to move forward, we're going get right down to business, and that means earning!
