Goal of this position

The Line Cook reports to the Kitchen Manager and Assist Kitchen Manager
Job Responsibilities
Prepares food to quality standards as directed by management
Daily prepares food and carries out any further tasks as directed by managers
Keeps overall cleanliness of kitchen as described on side worksheets
Follows opening, midday, and closing procedures
Takes out all trash and boxes in the morning, midday, and after closing

Work Environment
In this position you will be working with sharp objects knives, slicers, mixers, blenders, etc. You will also be working with fire and hot equipment including ovens, open flame burners, char broiler, griddle, deep fryers and a smoker.
Movement is spent in high-traffic areas while performing various tasks. The position is exposed to high energy, loud music, dim lighting, hot or sharp surfaces, and narrow passageways for long periods of time (8+ hours)
Physical Demands
The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires the ability to walk/stand and sustain physical activity for extended periods of time (8+ hours). Requires at times high and low levels of movement with the ability to reach with arms, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and squat. Requires the lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Hourly position that requires a flexible schedule, often-working workdays, weekends, and holidays. Shifts include normally as early as 8 a.m. and as late as 12 a.m.
