Contract Corporate Researcher Job Description
We are looking for a dependable contract Researcher to work on varied company projects. His or her objectives are to acquire corporate and financial information from various external sources, interpret data and present findings to management and other stakeholders. You should be resourceful, analytical, organized and demonstrate patience and excellent time management skills.
Researcher Responsibilities:
Interpreting identified informational needs, developing a research work plan to identify the tools to be used, and acquire the needed data.
Conducting research using the internet, databases, newspaper sources, questionnaires and interviews to gather data.
Presenting research findings in a clear and concise format.
Anticipating research challenges and suggestion solutions.
Following a strict code of ethics in protecting any confidential information at all times.
Researcher Specific Tasks May Include:
Creating industry target company lists for our sales department
Finding target company contacts
Finding target company revenues for multiple years
Creating target company/subsidiary family trees
Locating sources for industry statistics
Entering data into our CRM and possible other internal databases.
Researcher Requirements:
College student preferred, studying business or law
Research experience with sound understanding of business research methodologies
Access to and familiarity with online business databases
Proficiency in MS Office.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and exceptional written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.
This is an independent contractor position. We are a distributed company. The Researcher will work remotely and supply their own computer and other tools. The rate of pay is dependent on experience and location. The range is $15 - $25 per hour. Number of hours will vary, depending on individual assignments.
