PURPOSEThe Workforce Development Specialist is responsible for assisting program participants in developing vocational goals reflective of their skills, aptitudes, and interestsand.nbsp; The Workforce Development Specialist will assist participants to develop strengths-based family self-sufficiency plans, working with other service providers, and monitoring participant progress towards achieving the goal of self-sufficiency as directed under the 477 regulations.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education, experience, skills) An Associate s Degree in related field 2 years experience as a Workforce Development Technician or similar position Valid Driver s licenseSubstitution for Associates Degree:.and.nbsp; High School Diploma and;.and.nbsp; Four years Experience as a Technician in related fieldPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (education, experience, skills) Bachelor s Degree in related field 4 years experience as a Workforce Development Technician or closely related fieldESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for reading, understanding, and interpreting State, Federal, and Tribal codes and procedural manuals Responsible for maintaining a case load of up to 70 families Meet with participants to identify strengths and barriers to employment and assist clients in developing strategies towards self-sufficiency Network internally with co-workers, and externally with other service providers and employers to assist clients work towards self-sufficiency Responsible for ensuring clients right to privacy and ensure the strictest confidentiality Maintain complete, accurate and timely case notes and related records using Tribal D Work with employment agencies and local employers to increase employment opportunities May travel for meetings, training, and other business as needed Other duties as assignedTo apply click on the link below that says Employers Application Instructions.
