Homer Senior Citizens, Inc. is looking for a Personal Care Specialist, part-time: Saturday-Monday.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide each of the assigned residents with routine daily care and services in accordance with the residents care plan. Performs personal care activities, encourages residents to socialize and participate in planned activities, assist with moving and transporting residents into and out beds, wheelchairs, etc. and other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
Must be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and potentially hostile people within the facility.
