River Quest Group Home is looking for Caregivers who are compassionate, friendly and patient. Assist with activities of daily living, companionship, supervision, observation, safety, support, social interaction and activities. Perform housekeeping duties. Manage meals, assist with cooking and the shopping of meals. Planning and managing learning and entertainment activities. This my include playing games, reading books, and talking to the residents at the group home. Responsible for monitoring the residents in any changes in there mood, behavior, physical health, and home environment to supervisors. Chart on the residents reports regarding their progress and stare of well-being. Time management is a plus. It is important for caregivers to keep residents on regular bathing, feeding, and medication schedules, which requires good time management and organization.
Must have a valid driver's license and clear driving record
Work as a TEAM PLAYER
High School Diploma/GED
At least 6 mos. of working with intellectually disabled persons
Ability to express spoken and or written ideas in English
Ability to work independently
Empathy for the needs of the resident
Presents a positive public image at all times
Must pass a Background Check/Fingerprints
CPR/First Aid
