IT Help Desk Specialist - Alaskan Brewing Company (Juneau)

Join an award-winning craft brewery as part of its Information Technology team as an IT Help Desk Specialist. If you have a passion for technology and craft beer, this position is for you.

This is an entry to mid-level position that works to support, execute and fulfill the information technology operations. Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

· Monitors and maintains Windows OS updates, testing updates as necessary.

· Troubleshoots server and end-user hardware and software in a Windows desktop OS environment.

· Monitors, maintains, and tests routine system backups.

· Maintains user accounts in Active Directory and for Cloud services.

· Assists with Microsoft Windows group policy maintenance and deployment of printers.

· Assists in maintaining standard system images and initially configuring and deploying new computers to end users.

· Aids remote users in a mobile computing (iPhones, iPads, and mobile device management system) and VPN environment.

· Provides prompt and friendly support for local users. Help maximize employees’ use and knowledge of computer applications.

· Provides training to users in Alaskan Brewing’s systems, including email access, file system structure, security requirements and procedures, customer relationship management software. Maintains user accounts in Active Directory and for Cloud services.

· Assists in maintaining standard system images and initially configuring and deploying new computers to end users.

· Aids remote users in a mobile computing (iPhones, iPads, and mobile device management system) and VPN environment.

· Support our retail Point-of-Sale devices and applications.

· Provides training to users in Alaskan Brewing’s systems, including email access, office applications, security

The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge and experience:

· Associates in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems degree or years of equivelant experience.

· Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Desktop, Microsoft Server, Cisco, Juniper, CompTIA, etc.).

· Working knowledge of Active Directory/Windows Server/DNS/DHCP administration and support.

· Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking and common network monitoring tools and methods.

· Network cabling organization, data closets, switch port labeling and data center management.

· Strong Knowledge of computer hardware and support.

· Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and support.

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

· Working knowledge of administrating common TCP/IP-based services, including SMTP, DNS, HTTP, FTP, SSH, etc. Cisco or ShoreTel VoIP phone system administration.

· Experience supporting Apple iOS Devices (iPads, iPhones).

· MDM (Mobile Device Management) Service Experience.

· Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

· Knowledge of website development tools and support.

· Understanding of PLC systems for equipment computerization.
