At NMS, we expect our employeesto fulfill that mission in every aspect of their work.SummaryThe Operations Managerprovides supervision at the direction of management on site to coordinateactivities of employees engaged in facilities operations or services at ahealth care establishment. The Operations Manager coordinates, at the directionof management, key functions and between 3 and 10 employees during the normalcourse of business.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Serves as a working lead, coordinatingactivities of housekeepers engaged in cleaning and/or maintaining smaller lesscomplex facilities of commercial, health care facility, school, residence hall,or other establishments.

Responsibilities include interviewing,hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work;appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressingcomplaints and resolving problems; managing and approving timesheets.

Assists in ensuring a safe workingenvironment throughout the facility for all employees by complying with allcompany safety and risk management policies and procedures.

Assists in monitoring employeeproductivity and provides suggestions for increased service or productivity.

Responsible for the coordination ofroutine responsibilities of employees. Responsibility for specific work or functional activities as directed byon-site management.

Responsible for orientation and trainingof employees.

Performs day to day assignments inaddition to lead duties.

Works with customers to ensuresatisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution.

Takes an interest and initiative in thedevelopment of the facilities team.

Participates in regular safety meetings,and safety trainings. Applies allapplicable OSHA requirements to all assigned work. Reports all accidents and injuries in atimely manner.

Adapts procedures, processes, tools,equipment and techniques to meet the requirements of the position.

This position is responsible for thesupervision of staff.

Other duties that are pertinent to thedepartment or unit’s success also may be assigned.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements

Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimumone (1) year experience that evidences a working knowledge of cleaningequipment and general cleaning processes.

Minimumone (1) year in a related leadership role.

Basicskillset in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Avalid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3)years to be eligible under NMS’ vehicle insurance policy.

Mustbe fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsWeather: Occasional exposureto harshweatherconditions; requires work be done both inside and outside.Noise level: The noise levelin the work environment is usually moderate.Description ofenvironment: Hospital setting. Pace of work is medium and high volume ofcustomer interaction.Physical requirements: Employeeis required to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. This position is frequentlyrequired to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb,stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carryweight/lift.Travel: This position requirestravel up to 25% of the time.
