BASIC DUTIES
1. Maintain a welcoming atmosphere in the day room, kitchen, and pantry. Help to foster and maintain an environment where all people are respected, listened to, and treated with compassion and kindness regardless of their behavior, race, gender, orientation, identity, or disability.
2. Treat all patrons with respect and compassion
3. Arrive on time for every shift
4. Prepare Breakfast by 7:30 am and have it individually packaged
5. Prepare Lunch by 12 pm
6. Prepare Dinner by 7:30 pm
7. Use ingredients that we have in the kitchen to create healthy and notorious meals
8. Prioritize food that is likely to go bad
9. Adhere to COVID-19 protocols and procedures by wearing a face mask when in the kitchen, washing hands regularly, wearing gloves, sanitize surfaces and dishes thoroughly, maintain 6ft between you and co-workers and patrons
10. Be kind and courteous to everyone you interact with
11. Answer the telephone
12. Help patrons with mail during the specified hours
13. Help patrons with showers and laundry
14. Ensure that the kitchen is clean after your shift and that food is stored in a safe and sanitary manner
15. Ensure that the building is in good working order, if anything needs replacement or fixing inform management
16. Ensure that patrons are using appropriate language
17. Ensure that patrons are safe, if someone needs medical attention call the appropriate entity
18. Help coordinate donations and deliveries
19. Ensure that the kitchen and facility have all of the needed supplies
20. Abide by all the rules and regulations of TGH employee manual.
21. Provide social service referrals when appropriate
22. Resolve conflict
23. Attend staff meetings and trainings as assigned
24. Lock up facility after shift
25. Provide excellent customer service at all times
26. Work to facilitate a mindful and cohesive community at the Glory Hole
27. Forming personal relationships with patrons, including spending time with patrons outside of work, landing patron’s money, having alcoholic beverages with patrons, asking patrons for unpaid personal favors may result in immediate suspension and will result in disciplinary action.
