Job Description
The Conservation Coordinator will work with the public, landowners, and government groups to conserve open space in the Fairbanks area. The Conservation Coordinator will work on a part-time contract basis, providing his/her own work space, computer and internet access, and be supervised by the Interior Alaska Land Trust Board of Directors.
Responsibilities
Maintain the IALT web site page and Instagram account
Organize outreach events
Create and send out an annual newsletter, with help from the board
Maintain spreadsheet of properties and their status on conservation checklist
Contact landowners
Monitor properties, utilizing and building on volunteer monitors
Apply for two grants per year
Attend monthly IALT Board of Directors meetings
Goals
Increase land conserved and well-stewarded
Increase awareness of IALT land conservation
Increase donations
Increase grant income
Position IALT for re-accreditation in 2021-22
