We are looking to fill a Full Time Information and Referral Specialist position in our Fairbanks office. An ideal candidate will have experience in the Human Service field, be knowledgeable of community resources, and have great customer service skills. This position will assist the elderly and people with disabilities to live independently within the community of their choice and to achieve physical, emotional, and economic independence by providing information and referral on appropriate services in the community.

Essential Functions: Provide resources, information, and referrals to link local service delivery; Participate in meetings and other special community-based activities that impact the agency’s programs; Knowledge related to Medicare: Helps prepare outreach and public information material; Ensures timely reporting and data entry has taken place.

Position Requirements: BA in Human and Social Service or equivalent experience; Experience working with people with disabilities preferred. Knowledge of IL service delivery system, other HSS programs, resources, disability benefits, etc. is useful.

Salary $17.24 to $21.21
