Steese Immediate Care is looking for a Radiological Technician who is trained, or willing to be cross trained as a Medical Assistant.
DUTIES
The successful candidate will perform X-rays as ordered and directed by the provider on staff, monitor and notify provider when X-rays and reports become available, and maintain the X-Ray room and equipment. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, acting as a Medical Assistant by preparing patients for medical examinations; recording vitals and other pertinent information; collecting blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens; help providers examine and treat patients (as requested by the provider); authorize prescription refills at the request of the provider and provide prescription information to pharmacies as needed. Additionally, the successful candidate will be trained to perform general office duties; perform inventory checks and supply orders; perform laboratory tests, electrocardiograms (EKG/ECG), and administer other diagnostic tests. Must be able to effectively utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and perform other supportive duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Current enrollment in the University of Alaska Radiologic Technology Program or have graduated from another accredited RadTech program. Must be willing to learn Medical Assisting skills and other duties as assigned.
