I am in need of a caregiver who is able to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am - 12:30pm). This position is for a private home and is open immediately. It takes time to go through the hiring process at Access Alaska so expect it to last at least one month.
No experience necessary, training will be provided. Caregiver must be willing to sign up with an agency (Access Alaska) and pay is $16.00/hour. Must be 18 years old, have valid driver's license and reliable transportation, have or obtain First Aid/CPR certification (half day class) and pass a background check.
ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENTS: Must be reliable and not someone who consistently calls in unable to work or who arrives late.
Duties include: dressing, hygiene assistance, bathroom assistance, transfers and assistance with other daily living activities. Client is wheelchair bound due to paralysis. Training is provided on all duties. Skills are easy to train on; successful candidates are those with strong work ethic.
