Inspect and evaluate the work site for potential safety hazards including plumbing, electrical and all other building controls. Make recommendations for the most effective and efficient electrician management work practices to employ including the evaluation of equipment and materials. Determine the need for and perform area inspections to ensure that workers and other individuals are not exposed to hazards. Assist to plan, develop and install/administer all safety equipment, methods of installation/repair and power tool operation. Initiate work processes following all Building Codes, NEC, EPA, OSHA, NFPA and other electrical guidelines for conformance to Management specifications. Perform routine and preventive maintenance to include operating, cleaning, inspecting, troubleshooting, adjusting, tightening, replacing, lubricating, reporting problems and other similar tasks on a wide variety of low and high voltage electrical and electronic equipment and systems. Maintain and perform repairs, modifications, replacements and installations of a wide variety of low and high voltage electrical and non-medical electronic equipment and systems for both existing facilities and those under renovation, and includes equipment that is either fixed or portable. Perform job site clean-up and final quality check of work. Utilize various lift equipment such as man-lifts and scaffolding in the accomplishment of the assigned work. Conduct demolition so that it is accomplished in a controlled and safe manner. Document progress information, results, and digital photographs and request to transfer them into the FS AutoCAD building drawings system. Keep current on electrician technology and methods to optimize efficiency and safety. Assist in providing guidance to contractors when conflicts are encountered and assist in determining the most effective management options. Analyze building plans for mechanical and electrical system location, routing and installation to determine appropriate work methods and sequence operations. Participate with On-Call rotation. Willing to work extra hours as needed.less than/pre>iless thanhr>iless thanpre>Maintain qualification and licensing to install modifications, replacements and installations of electrical equipment and systems to include wiring, conduit, junction boxes, relays, switches, starters, receptacles, breakers, panel boxes, fixtures, electric motors, disconnects, motor control centers, lighting systems, major and minor appliances, electrically powered tools and equipment, battery and DC systems, and other similar type equipment. Assist in determining the need for contractor assistance. Report results to supervisors and employees involved in the electrical process and assist in determining the most effective personnel protective protocols to use. Perform work near hot and/or moving mechanical equipment, in high and precarious locations, confined spaces and in adverse weather conditions. Document all work with "before and after" photographs.
