JOB DESCRIPTION:
WAREHOUSE- Warehouse associates receive, handle, stock, transfer, assemble, and distribute a variety of materials, tools, furnishings, and products within the warehouse. Warehouse associates process orders for customer pickups, deliveries, outgoing shipments, and transfers.
DELIVERY DRIVERS - Delivery personnel receive, handle, stock, transfer, assemble, and distribute a variety of materials, tools, furnishings, and products within the warehouse and delivery locations. Delivery personnel process orders for customer pickups, deliveries, outgoing shipments, and transfers. Drivers are responsible for loading and unloading merchandise, transportation, time management, vehicle upkeep, product assembly, and setup.
SERVICE TECHNICIANS - Drives a company vehicle to customer’s homes to perform repairs and/or assess needed repairs. Works with the warehouse team to prep and repair home furnishing products. Uses their carpentry, upholstery, leather, and color matching skills to provide the best product to our customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience is recommended but not needed. Drivers and Service Technicians must be able to acquire pass that can gain entry to military establishments such as Ft. Wainwright and Eielson Air Force Base. Driver and Service Tech applicants must have a valid driver’s license, current D.O.T., health card, and a clean driving record.
Applicant must be at least 18 years old or older, have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess the ability to follow written or oral instructions, ability to read/write and interpret documents, do basic math, and the ability to perform a variety of functions including loading and unloading freight, opening and packaging merchandise, interacting with customers, processing shipments, housekeeping tasks, basic hand-truck operation, and other warehouse tasks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
Must be able to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 75 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutes, frequently lift and carry furniture weighing up to 250 pounds with another delivery crew member into buildings, up staircases, and a variety of locations. Infrequently lift and move boxes weighing up to 150 pounds, work at heights of up to 20 feet from the floor, working in an environment with changing temperatures, and walk, squat, and bend over for intervals of 30-45 minutes.
