Hardwork, being unitimidated of the task at hand, and careful planning are the the keys to our success. We are in need of an Operations Manager for our fencing business. We are looking for the right person to join our team, with excellent organization skills, a personable and friendly disposition and an understanding of what it takes to make this business work. The ideal candidate will have unquestionable work ethic and integrity, and have a natural ability to see what needs to be done and do it. They will be prompt and have excellent time management skills. While being flexible to handle anything that might come up during the day, they will also be happy to perform menial tasks as well as the expected management and administration functions. You will be a strong and reliable manager working to support the company's owner/s and company operations, while maintaining open and honest communication. Not only will your efforts allow us to achieve organizational efficiency, and increase sales, you will nurture a pleasant work environment for the team members under you.

The chosen candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of the fencing industry, have experience managing a business, and have previous fencing experience in both the private and government sectors. They will also have the ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation and be comfortable multitasking and interfacing with customers and other team members.

Manage all aspects of our fencing company

Establish and maintain business standards for accuracy, productivity and reliability

Streamline the bidding process to be more efficient

Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and customers

Strive to find the balance with excellent service and profitability

Maintain a safe and efficient work environment

Promote teamwork and learning

Responsibilities

Manage the daily functions of the business

Oversee the day-to-day activities of the office as the main point of contact

Generate proposals for potential jobs, on Excel and other computer software

Prepare annual performance review and reevaluate processes

Ensure regulatory compliance and legal rules are followed

Establish safety requirements and facilitate the implimentation

Manage work load and schedule for workers in the field

Equipment and grounds maintenance

Material ordering

Hiring people to work in the field as needed.

Problem solving on the fly, without creating more issues.

Taking calls and meeting appointments with customers

Assembling and submitting job documents as required for each project

Work with the admin for invoicing, time tracking, and job cost analysis

Qualifications

Possess the Highest level of integrity and trustworthiness

Self motivated to learn and improve the work environment

Be able to communicate and function effectively in pressure situations

3+ years of experience in a similar role

3+ years building chainlink and other types of fencing

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel

Strong organizational and communication skills

Strong ability to multitask

Ability to input and process data accurately and efficiently

Strong time-management and people skills, flexibility, and multitasking ability

Ability to organize, prioritize and complete tasks with no supervision.

Ability to coordinate simultaneous tasks, follow-up on multiple details in an environment with frequent interruptions

Demonstrate loyalty to the organization

Able and willing to lift over 50lbs frequently

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to handle confidential information

Previous success in managing a fencing company

Previous success in construction management

Engaging personality and optimistic outlook

Sales background
