We are seeking a Grocery Manager to oversee all operations in our grocery department, which includes frozen and packaged foods, dairy, and bulk foods. This position also serves as Store Manager on Duty as needed.
Our ideal candidate must have demonstrated management and supervisory experience, ideally in a grocery environment. Experience should include hiring, training, scheduling and supervising staff. Ordering, pricing and inventory management are helpful. Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required. Computer literacy is a must, and familiarity with natural and organic foods is preferred.
Our Grocery Manager is responsible for all aspects of the grocery department including profitability, staff supervision, customer service, productivity and department conditions. This manager ensures that the department is competitive and responsive to the needs of our customers, Owners and employees.
We seek an energetic, detail-oriented person with excellent analytical skills and an interest in setting up systems. Candidates must be able to prioritize and successfully respond to multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
Must be willing to work full time, nights and weekends. Starting salary is $35,000 to $40,000. Benefits include accrued paid time off, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, a 15% discount on groceries, and partial reimbursement of ACA premium.
