Due to our rapid expansion and growth South Central Equipment is needing two positions filled:
Diesel Mechanic
Hydraulic Technician
SUMMARY OF THE DIESEL MECHANIC POSITION: (Pay DOE)
Skilled position that performs scheduled preventative / predictive maintenance and necessary repairs to light trucks, large trucks and heavy equipment. Troubleshoot and repair company equipment and fleet vehicles. Work includes, but is not limited to, independent diagnosis and repair of electrical systems, internal engines, hydraulic systems, brake repair and replacement. Diagnose issues with transmissions, clutches, rear ends, electrical systems and all other assemblies. Complete daily maintenance and repair logs. Clean and maintain work area. Work with a high degree of independence. This position requires that you maintain and secure your own tools. Position also requires several physical movements, including lifting, pinching, bending, reaching, climbing and manipulating and handling objects.
SUMMARY OF THE HYDRAULIC TECHNICIAN POSITION: (Pay DOE)
Skilled position that performs tear down inspections of hydraulic cylinders, pumps and motors. Must be able to clean inspect and repair with proper parts. Must be able to calculate standard and metric dimensions using measuring tools. Has an understanding on basic principles of hydraulic, fundamentals of bench testing hydraulic hoses and cylinders a plus.
All experience levels will be considered for this position.
PRIMARY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Diagnose vehicle and equipment failures, disassemble, repair and re-assemble parts as necessary
Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment, Perform on-site maintenance and repairs
Tear down and inspect hydraulic components, diagnose and repair failed hydraulic components
Make hydraulic hoses
Welding and fabrication skills HIGHLY desirable.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
General knowledge performing mechanical repairs; Some heavy truck/equipment and brake repair experience preferred
High School Diploma or GED
Class A CDL (Preferred but not required)
Ability work in inclement weather conditions
Mechanical knowledge of gas and diesel repair
Experience with hydraulic and air brake systems and electrical systems
Knowledge of internal combustible engines
HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:
Must work well with others in a team environment
Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
Must be able to quickly understand and adhere to safety requirements of this position
Experience with construction industry and heavy equipment
