Configures and installs desktop and mobile hardware and software to effectively utilize Lynden specific applications and helps support the local area networks and remote connectivity by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Installs, assembles, configures and maintains software, hardware and network facilities as it relates to the desktop, server and mobile environment

Troubleshoots and resolves client desktop computer and server related issues affecting users job function

Performs computer diagnostics and repairs via phone, remote control, or in person. Identifies and analyzes problems using knowledge of established protocols, automated diagnostic tools, expertise of peers or other resources.

Completes and maintains required documentation for hardware and software maintenance and troubleshooting activities. Records and maintains company hardware and software asset information.Â

May provide on-site training to users.

Assists with the testing, research and acquisition of new or upgraded hardware and software systems.

Establishes initial, and maintains ongoing connectivity to network servers; installs, tests and debugs new software releases, system upgrades, service packs, security patches and related materials.Â

Maintains current knowledge of operating systems plus basic network technology

Participates in on-call schedule to support 24X7X365 production environment.

Consults with and makes recommendations to IT users on selection of hardware and software products to address business requirements. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONSÂ

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school in relevant subject; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have excellent customer service and phone etiquette skills.

Required:

Thorough knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 10 operating systems.

Working knowledge of Server 2019, 2016, 2008, and Active Directory Structure.

Experience with Networking in a local and/or domain environment.

Familiarity with VMware.

Experience with mobile devices including Apple, Android and MS CE operating systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to enter information and instructions into a keyboard. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. The employee must be able to read information displayed on a screen. The employee must be able to manipulate tools and install equipment in a variety of environments. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, such as office supplies, computers and peripherals.

The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to moderately loud.Â
