Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must have State of Alaska Marijuana Handlers Permit
Must be knowledgeable about cannabis
Strong communication skills
Legally able to work in Alaska
Able to stand for long hours
Ability to accurately count cash and give change
High School education, at minimum
Preferred:
Experience in the cannabis industry
Retail or customer service experience
Municipality of Anchorage Food Handler Permit
Point of sale experience
Enthusiastic to work with cannabis
Attention to detail
Able to maintain professional demeanor
Approachable
Outgoing personality
Able to work a flexible schedule
Bilingual a plus
Details:
This job requires that a person be willing to continually educate themselves on the particulars of cannabis including THC, CBD, terpenes and the legality of marijuana. Budtenders are expected to have expertise in the cannabis industry. Each budtender will need to be able to interact with customers and make appropriate recommendations for product selection. The candidate will also need to be able to stand for long periods of time in a fast-paced sales environment.
