We are searching for an experienced MTA Foundation Intern (College) at our Palmer HQ facility. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing efficient, confidential, and professional administrative functions for Chief Operating Officer to include projects and tasks related to the MTA Foundation. The position requires conduct of routine matters and communications with the public and employees. The ability to be discreet with proprietary information, while maintaining files and records in a highly confidential manner, is a fundamental requirement of the position.

SPECIFIC TASK DESCRIPTION:

Prepares, evaluates, prioritizes, and directs correspondence, reports, meetings, and phone calls, with appropriate follow up for the MTA Foundation.

May serve as recording secretary at board/committee meetings.

Prepares documents for donation committee meetings.

Responsible for tracking and monitoring all donation applications.

Assist with the administration and coordination of scholarship applications.

Deals with ongoing sensitive and confidential proprietary information.

Complete check requests and assist with the routing of invoices.

Strives to provide a superior customer experience to both internal and external customers.

Other projects and duties as assigned.

Serves as backup recording secretary at meetings which require the preparation and distribution of agendas, supporting background documents, minutes, participant notification, coordination of facility arrangements, and follow-up action reports.

Coordinates meetings, travel, and training requests for the Vice Presidents.

Prepares and updates intranet web site for Executive Staff.

Maintains filing records of Executive Staff, and ensures appropriate backup and storage of those paper and/or electronic media files.

Required Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program for Business Administration, Communication, or equivalent major.

Applicants will be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program.

GPA of 3.0 or greater preferred.

Must have ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous related internship/work experience preferred.

Experience in providing file maintenance, record maintenance, data entry, quality control preferred.

Strong computer skills preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office required.

Strong organizational, writing, interpersonal, and communication skills preferred.

Accuracy and attention to detail is required.
