Purr-Ferred Pet food, LLC. is a processing facility, providing fresh ground salmon, halibut and cod straight from Alaskan waters. Our protein products can be found in many leading pet food brands across the nation!
Who We Are Looking For:
Purr-Ferred Pet Food is looking for Processors who can follow all company policies and guidelines as well as learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment. As a processor, you will be assigned a station in which you will perform your daily tasks, positions will be assigned after training to place new hires where they are strongest. Daily tasks will include; a step of fish production, assisting with pre-op and post-op checklists, sanitation duties, keeping track of your provided gear and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Communicating with the Production Coordinator, etc.

We are looking for someone who is highly driven to get the job done and safely! Our company is committed to high safety standards, which we expect our employees to follow and promote. Our fast-paced environment and high safety protocols require Processors with strong attention to detail and experience working in a production facility or yard with multiple moving parts. Some skills the right candidate would have are:

Ability to lift 50lbs or more unassisted
Ability to walk around facility or stand in one area for full shift

Responsibilities:
Fish Production Line Work
Sanitation
Assisting or operating (if able) forklifts
Recording Temps, species, etc. of fish deliveries
Use of our company app to input data
Personal timekeeping (clocking in/out) efficiently without help
Punctuality, ability to show up every shift on time
Qualifications:
Highschool Diploma or equivalent
Must be a responsible and professional individual
Must have attention to detail
Must be a strong communicator
Fast paced production or operational work experience
Physically capable of lifting 50+lbs unassisted
Knowledge of tools and common appliances
Experience in operating variety of equipment
Forklift certificate a plus
Understanding of general office ethics and proper conduct
Drug and alcohol free workplace
Shift is subject to change: Starting Shift - 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
