Do you have experience in Production, Food Processing, or Manufacturing? UniSea has positions available for Seafood Processors to work in our plants in Dutch Harbor, Alaska, during this upcoming A Season 2019. Production season is expected to begin as early as January 2, 2019 in some departments, and last until early May, 2019. If you are selected, you must be able to travel to Dutch Harbor as early as December 28th.

This is an outstanding opportunity to save most of your earnings since UniSea will cover most of your expenses including transportation from Anchorage to Dutch Harbor and transportation back to Anchorage upon successful completion of your seasonal contract expected to end by the first week of May 2019.

BASIC FUNCTION:

Performs primary role in offloading, processing, storage, and shipping of seafood. Operate equipment, maintaining safe, efficient production and uniform product quality.

Essential Duties:

1) Perform repetitious assigned jobs on the production line. May work at a variety of positions of work stations throughout a contract period.

2) Cooperate with Production Leads and coworkers to ensure efficient and safe production.

3) Cooperate in the training of new employees in various positions, including specific job duties, proper work habits, sanitation, and safety standards, by setting a good example.

4) Ensure supplies are adequate and readily available.

5) Cooperate with Production Leads in personnel line rotation to minimize inefficiency.

6) Maintain communication with other production personnel to coordinate activities.

7) Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with company policy by closely monitoring the safe use of equipment and work habits in and around the work area. Responsible for staying abreast of current company policies as they relate to safety.

Secondary Duties:

1) Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Experience performing physical labor a plus.

Ability to work up to 12 hours shifts, standing and performing repetitious tasks.

Ability to work in humid and wet conditions.
