GENERAL PURPOSE SUMMARY

Under close supervision, provides support in various human resources functions which may include recruiting, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training and administration by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Processes full scope of HR transactions and develops depth of knowledge on general HR practices, procedures and technology.

2. Responds to a wide variety of inquiries from internal and external customers and routes customers to the appropriate subject matter experts.

3. May participate in recruitment efforts for nonexempt positions by interviewing, coordinating job postings, performing reference checks, processing background check information, conducting new hire orientations and coordinating the use of temporary employees.

4. May assist in administration of compensation and benefits program and payroll processing.

5. Assists in compiling routine and ad-hoc reports, including HR metrics and compliance, maintaining records and logging all relevant information.

6. Provides support to managers and administrators of a variety of human resources functions.

7. Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum: Two years administrative or clerical experience with six months concentrated in the human resources field.

Preferred: Three years administrative or clerical experience with one year experience concentrated in the human resources field; or an associates degree in business administration or related field and one year administrative or clerical experience concentrated in the Human Resources field; or combination of education, training and experience.
