SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under general supervision, plans, directs, and evaluates all nursing care and functions in accordance with acceptable standards of patient care. Accurately and promptly implements physicians orders. Supports and enforces infection-control policies and procedures. Maintains a professional approach with confidentiality. Cooperates and maintains a good rapport with nursing staff, medical staff, and other departments.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a school of nursing accredited by the National League for Nursing. Eligibility for licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska. Two years of professional nursing experience. Some positions may require specific experience in medical areas such as OB/GYN or internal medicine. Prior clinic or out-patient experience is preferred.
