WALK-IN CLINIC RECEPTIONIST
FULL TIME, Tuesday-Friday from 9am-7pm and Saturday from 10am-2pm.
This position is responsible for scheduling patients with acute injuries in our walk-in clinic. Tasks may be integrated into another position, e.g., scheduler/registration clerk.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Schedules appointments for patients either by phone when they call in or in person.
2. Uses computerized system to match physician/clinician availability with patient's preferences in terms of date and time.
3. Maintains scheduling system so records are accurate and complete and can be used to analyze patient/staffing patterns.
4. Ensures that updates (e.g., cancellations or additions) are input daily into master schedule.
5. Communicates as needed with physicians/clinicians and other staff about any patient concerns/issues related to scheduling.
6. Consults with appointment manager about any system problems.
7. Uses customer service principles and techniques to deal with patients calmly and pleasantly.
8. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, be self-directed, and have the ability to multi-task with accuracy and a can-do attitude. Outstanding customer service and phone skills are a must!
9. May be called upon to work the front desk check-in and check-out process from time to time.
MUST HAVE SCHEDULER EXPERIENCE OF AT LEAST 1-2 YEARS
