Education:High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:medical receptionist, 1 year (Required)

Location:Anchorage (midtown)

Busy Practice is seeking a FULL TIME medical receptionist

Applicants must:

- Be customer service oriented. Have a bubbly personality and able to smile and be friendly at all times.

- Have customer service experience or experience working in a medical office and

- Be able to multi-task. Handle phones while maintaining accurate medical records, and keeping patient information private.

- Being able to manage schedules of multiple providers and become familiar with software platforms is a must.

- Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, office etc

- Have basic knowledge of computers, multi-line phones, printers, fax machines.

Daily duties include but not limited to:

Insurance verification.

Check voicemails and return calls.

Answer phones with a pleasant, professional tone of voice. Schedule patients by phone or in-person.

Transfer calls appropriately to various staff members (ie. billing calls to billing dept, etc)

Immediately greet patients with a smile and notify staff of their arrival.

Notify staff of schedule changes when late cancellation or walk-ins occur.

Provide patients with appropriate paperwork and verify all information is accurate when checking in patients (ie. spelling of first/last name, date of birth, phone number, address, emergency contact).

Collect patient payments and schedule follow-up visits at every check-out.
