Consumer Direct Care Network-Mat-Su is looking for an experienced Habilitative Caregiver to work in Eagle River with an adult male experiencing developmental and physical disabilities. Applicants should be reliable, punctual, honest, trustworthy, patient, caring, compassionate, respectful, positive, fun loving, able to understand boundaries in the client’s home and community, and willing to make a commitment to providing quality care in a professional and friendly manner. Applicants should also possess a strong work ethic, be team players, be good-hearted, be willing to learn, possess good communication skills (both speaking and listening), practice safe caregiving techniques, demonstrate outstanding time management skills, and make use of common sense. Priority consideration will be given to applicants who are clean/non-smokers and who possess knowledge of and experience with fall prevention, seizure protocols, and safe COVID practices.
The position is full time, although some flexibility may be required to cover weekends or overnights.
The position involves the provision of a mix of PCA, habilitative, and respite care, reimbursed according to the following pay scale:
Service Line & Wage:
CFC/PCS $16 /hour
Habilitation (day habilitation and supported living) $20/hour
Hourly Respite $13.50/hour
Daily Respite (overnight care) $203.84/day
Applicants must possess physical endurance and be able to kneel, bend at the waist, and lift moderate to heavy weights. Applicants must also be able to pass a background check, possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record, provide proof of automobile insurance, provide transportation in a safe vehicle, complete CPR/First Aid and other trainings as provided or required.
Full benefits, including health insurance, are available to caregivers who work 30 or more hours per week.
