Exciting opportunity to work with clients with developmental disabilities.
This is a part time position of 20 to 30 hours per week
Duties include (but are not limited to):
· Provide one-on-one non-medical care to a male clients including, but not limited to male clients in community and in home setting
· Follow the client's Plan of Care which may include, but not limited to the items outlined below:
· Provide companionship, conversation, mental stimulation
· Provide transportation to community events and appointments ( Non-Medical)
· Encourage, exercise, observe, document and report client's activities in community
· Hours and days vary depending on client's schedule. Must be able to work weekends
Requirements:
Attained High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Credentials / licenses / certifications: None
Months of experience: 6
Driver's license: D-Private Vehicle class
Driver's license endorsements: None
Additional skills required:
An applicant must have or be able to obtain the following:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid Driver's license.
Current car insurance
Reliable transpotation
Negative TB test done within the last year
Must pass a federal background check.
Must have the Ability to provide skill training, monitoring, supervision and support as indicated in Plan of Care. Direct Support Providers- Day Habilitation Workers provide these services in partnership with families and other team members.
Has a strong written/oral communication skill with diverse populations including; families, team members and the public.
