JOB SUMMARY: .and.nbsp;The Chemist will utilize their knowledge and experience to synthesize data on environmental projects. Additional duties include providing support for the preparation of work plans, reports, SAPs/QAPPs, and UFP-QAPPs; data validation and data management; communicating with the subcontract laboratory; review of technical documents; and Access database management. Personal initiative and critical thinking skills are essential to complete job duties with minimal guidance. Assignments are deadline-driven so must be able to set priorities, take ownership of projects, work efficiently, and provide a consistent level of high quality in a high-pressure environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Support environmental investigations and assessments in accordance with state and federal regulatory guidelines and as directed by Project Management staff. Adhere to schedule and financial objectives, controlling time and expenditures to achieve project goals. Work with technical staff in support of project objectives. Provide scientific and technical guidance, support, and coordination to project staff preparing written project documentation. Evaluate and select data collection methods and procedures to be employed in site surveys and investigations. Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Other duties as assigned
