This position may work from a GCI office in Anchorage, Alaska or Seattle, WashingtonSolution architecture describes how different components of business, information, and technology architectures are used in a particular solution. GCI s Senior Solutions Architect provides the necessary leadership, facilitation, analysis and design tasks related to the development of the enterprise s solutions architecture; provides a channel between enterprise architecture and technical architecture, focused on details and solution technologies to address a specific business problem;.and.nbsp; creates deliverables that help develop a direction for managing the organization's portfolio of "to be" and "as is" solutions including processes, information, systems, shared infrastructure services, and shared application services and components to better match targeted business outcome objectives.Essential Duties at All Levels in the Position: Understand business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state), and determine corresponding enterprise system designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.Determine the best technology solution among all possible to solve the existing business problems. Describe the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of a solution to stakeholders. Define features, enablers, phases, and solution requirements. Provide specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and deliveredEnsure that a new system will fit the existing enterprise environment. Understand how all parts of the business model work together including processes, operating systems, and application architectures.Understand business and technical limitations and constraints, compare them, and then make a number of technological and managerial decisions to reconcile these restrictions with solution goals.
