Anchorage Midtown Preschool is looking for a caring, experienced teacher to join our classroom this summer with potential for long term employment. We offer a caring, warm, creative environment for children ages 15 months to 5 years. We believe children are capable of so much and foster independence, problem solving skills and socialization. We also believe that a child learns best when their natural curiosity takes the lead. Our teachers follow this curiosity to create and develop lesson plans and experiences. Our small classroom size ensures teachers are not stressed or overwhelmed and can focus on caring for and crafting a positive experience for everyone involved.
Overview of Job Duties
Supervise children in accordance with licensing guidelines
Participate and lead activities, art projects, songs, stories etc
Consistently use positive behavior to teach and demonstrate to the children
Foster and encourage independence
Serve meals and snacks according to licensing standards
