First National Bank Alaska, FNBA, is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor for our Mortgage Unit. The Loan Processor II is responsible for processing mortgage loan applications according to investor guidelines and bank policy; assembles supporting documentation and confirms accuracy and completeness of mortgage loan applications; answers routine questions regarding the loan process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Reviews loan applications and supporting documents received from mortgage loan originator and confirms borrower's eligibility for the loan program selected; orders supporting documentation required by investor guidelines and bank policy for loan processing.

2. Processes complex conventional loans and basic government-secured loans by researching program requirements and utilizing processing software programs.

3. Reviews and analyzes documentation for accuracy and compliance with investor guidelines and bank policy; requests additional information from borrowers when necessary; prepares analysis of income and summaries of compensating factors for loans with exceptions to investor guidelines.

4. Ensures completeness of applications and supporting documentation by contacting borrowers, sellers and real estate agents involved in the loan application process and keeps them, along with the originator and supervisor, apprised on the progress of loan applications.

5. Compiles supporting documentation in accordance with underwriting guidelines and submits to underwriting for loan approval.

6. Prepares loan application files for closing by ordering closing documents and reviewing supporting documentation to identify anomalies.

7. Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Minimum: Associate's degree in a business related field plus one year of loan processing, mortgage lending, or banking related experience, and plus one year of administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience. (3 years total)

Preferred: Associate's degree in a business related field and two years of loan processing, mortgage lending, or banking related experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience. Customer Service Experience.
